There’s nothing better than the crisp smell of Autumn leaves in the fresh, Maine air. (Except maybe the smell of savory, slow smoked meats in our smoker!) In celebration of the spooky season upon us, we asked a few members of our team to share their favorite Halloween costumes, treats, and traditions from childhood and beyond.

Favorite Costume: When my friends and I all dressed up as different Greek goddesses.
Favorite Treat: Sour Patch Kids and Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.
Halloween Plans: Working at Elsmere BBQ. I haven’t decided about after yet, maybe watch some scary movies?

Favorite Costume: When I was like 14 I was a Chinese food take out box. That was pretty sick.
Favorite Treat: Peanut M&M’s
Halloween Plans: Going to pass out candy at Aaron’s parents’ house.

Favorite Costume: My Grandma Jo costume is hands down my all time favorite!!
Favorite Treat: Kit Kat bars (I put bars because one is never enough - hehe).
Halloween Plans: I’ll be working with two of my favorite coworkers (Sammi and Joe) at the Portland Elsmere BBQ location! Come see us!
While you’ve probably already planned your costume for Thursday night, there’s one last scary detail that you might have forgotten: what about dinner?! Halloween night can be busy, and it’s hard to find a minute to sit down (let alone prepare a meal) so grab take out from Elsmere’s huge menu to make Halloween night less terrifying!
